I have been a practicing psychotherapist for over 30 years.
Areas of expertise include: Anxiety, Depression, Eating
Disorders, Trauma, Grief and loss, Life Changes/Transitions
(e.g.parenthood, relocation, marriage, divorce) and undergrad
and graduate student concerns.
I have taught Mindful Eating at the Mindfulness Center at the
University of Virginia School of Medicine for the past 5 years.
Additionally, I provide clinical consultation to individuals,
groups and organizations, and guest lecture in graduate level
counseling and traing programs.
I am a cisgender female (pronouns she/her) and an advocate for
LGBTQ+ individuals. I and my husband of 38 years are the
parents of two adult children. In my spare time I enjoy being
outside as much as possible, moving this old body, music, dance,
and creating things with clay and other mediums.
I am an experienced practitioner of Mindfulness Meditation
which supports all of my work.
